Maria Wade, PT, COMT

Maria Wade earned her Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Chile in 2005. Following her clinical degree, she has pursued training in treating patients with neurological conditions through the Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT) association. She moved to Alaska in 2008 and completed an advanced orthopedic certification through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM- US) in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in Spine and Lower Extremities. Her interest in pelvic health developed after the birth of her first daughter, over 12 years ago. She has since completed extensive continued education in the field, alongside close to a decade of professional experience. She can treat all pregnancy and postpartum issues, including musculoskeletal pain, diastasis recti, urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pelvic organ prolapse. She sees both women and men for conditions such as bowel dysfunction, outlet constipation, urinary or fecal incontinence, and pudendal neuralgia. She is highly skilled at treating conditions that women can experience across the lifespan that impact their sexual health, such as dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), vaginismus, and some genitourinary symptoms of menopause.

Outside of the clinic she loves spending time with her husband and 3 children.
